Fantasy sports betting is fast becoming a big trend for hardcore sports fans who love to gamble, especially on football. In the NFL, quarterbacks may be the stars of the team, but they will never be the stars they want to be if not for the players on the receiving end of their throws—the wide receivers. To make sure you put together a highly competitive team to win your fantasy sports betting activities, let’s take a look at the top wide receivers that you should look out for in your draft.

• Andre Johnson – Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are quickly becoming a tour de force in the AFC, and one of the reasons why they are now a playoff contender is they are one of the teams with the best offenses in the league.

Now that Houston has a ground game to go with their air attack, Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson could see his fantasy numbers go through the roof as quarterback Matt Schaub will have more time to throw the football.

• Roddy White – Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have got to be the most surprising team in the NFC the previous season as they went from an incessant bottom feeder to one of the top NFL teams and Super Bowl contender.

One of the main reasons of their steady climb to the top ranks is the dynamic duo of quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Roddy White. With Ryan having a real downfield threat in White, they were able to lead their team to an NFC South division title and into the playoffs.

• Larry Fitzgerald – Arizona Cardinals

It was an absolute dismal season for arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL, Larry Fitzgerald and his team, the Arizona Cardinals. With no solid quarterback option for the Cardinals, the once potent offense went down the tubes as nobody could get the football to the team’s best player—Fitzgerald.

Because of this, Fitzgerald went from being a perpetual fantasy football stud to a dud. However, things might turn around for Arizona this season, and the recently re-signed Pro Bowl wide receiver will work with new starting quarterback Kevin Kolb under center.

• Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers

The defending Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers have one of the best offenses in the NFL, and the reason for this is the superb talent of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his ability to throw the football all over the field. This season, Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target should once again be wide receiver Greg Jennings.

• Calvin Johnson – Detroit Lions

The one team that could have a breakout season this year is the Detroit Lions. With the Lions getting a serious upgrade on defense, and seeing franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford healthy and back under center, the boys from Detroit are on the verge of becoming playoff team in the NFC.

One player that could benefit the most from Matthew Stafford getting back under center is Pro Bowl wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
