Ah injuries, when you are a fantasy NFL manager, these are crucial information that you should know. It is not every day that a player gets an injury but it’s still very beneficial to know these things.

Having players receive an injury is nothing to be happy about so why don’t we get down on the list of players that suffered this season? So many players have received injuries and it’s definitely quite a black season for all these players.

Bills C Eric Wood, named to the midseason all-pro team of USA TODAY's Jarrett Bell, suffered a torn right anterior cruciate ligament, ending his season.

Knowshon Moreno of the Broncos RB had suffered the same injury and is out for the year, though Denver hopes to have Willis McGahee (hamstring) in the backfield Thursday Night when the Broncos host the Jets.

Chris Williams dislocated his left wrist and the Bears offensive line had showed improvement in the recent weeks that will not include Williams on the rest of the way.

Jaguars CB Rashean Mathis went down Sunday with a torn left ACL. Jacksonville is also shelving G Eben Britton, who developed an infection following back surgery; he played in only four games in 2011.

Unfortunately for the Bengals, they confirmed Sunday’s report that CB Leon Hall was indeed felled by a torn left Achilles’ tendon.

And after registering his first 100-receiving yard day as a pro, Redskins rookie WR Leonard Hankerson was waylaid by a torn labrum in his right hip after dislocating it.

Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) and Chiefs QB Matt Cassel (hand) also learned Monday that their 2011 seasons are in serious jeopardy.

These injuries are to be taken seriously even if you’re not the one who actually received them. This information will help you draft the right players. A good example is, aside from checking out the stats of great players, checking their injury stats also help. Does a player get injured a lot during a season? How often? How about his recovery speed? How was his performance after he recovered from the injury? Sometimes a player may not perform his best after going through injury. You may get to draft a great player but if he gets injured often then you would have no use for him in the season.

Fantasy NFL managers are keen on this information if they want to emerge victorious in the league.
